OLD BUSINESS:

Minutes of August 15, 2009: approved.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

    Treasurer's Report:

Faith Bloomfield reported a $2,091.35 balance.

Update on house:

- Randy Cuthbert continues towork on upgrading electrical system.

- Application of Icynene Spray Foam Insulation to basement and first floor perimeter band completed.

- Estimates are beingreviewed for the iinstallation of smoke detectors and security systems.

-  John Herring Mechanical Services provided a preliminary material list estimate for plumbing.

          

Events & Happenings:

-  Cathi Castrio is lead for the Haunted House. The haunted house will be the Friday and Saturday the weekend before Halloween.  That's the 23rd

   and 24th.  We'll start at 7 on Friday and 6 on Saturday.  After six years of this, we've found that works best.  Cost will be $5. Will need port-pottie.

- Mike Bristol has asked committee to keep the Scott House in mind when planning events or work days. Six kids are available to help in the Haunted House. Mike can be reached at 638-6080.

-      Peter Bailey is still looking into taking over the Café/Music Night at the school and using it for a R. Stiles Event. Details to follow.

-    hris Castrio restated the reasons behind the decision for not holding the Fly-in-Stile event. Basically, it comes down to new regulations from the FAA (Federal Aviation Agency) that would put a burden on our volunteer pilots. We are looking at next year and locating professional pilots that would donate their time. Bob Henke Jr. (professional pilot) is interested. -  Possible Christmas open house.

- Possible Soup Swap Event was brought up and will be spearheaded by Kate Meyer. Details to follow.

- Poe Stories at Midnight gathering discussed.

-      Chris Castrio and Debbie Jourdanais continue to work with NYSERDA to seek available energy/appliance grants.
