OLD BUSINESS:

NEW BUSINESS:
Treasurer's Report:

  • Faith Bloomfield reported a $10,772.70 balance.
  • BILLS PENDING or PAID that are not reflected in balance:
    • $75.00 Wades Tree Service
    • $300.00 All American Dumpster

Update on house:

  • Chris Castrio & Mark Haley continue to work on updated Master Plan. Mark Haley presented materials for assisting in this process. Target date to present draft to committee - June Meeting.
  • Mark Haley and Chris Castrio continue to work on design for front entry steps. Target date to present draft to committee - June Meeting.

Events & Happenings:

  • Tom Smith and Ed Ellithorpe informed committee of a proposed dedication plaque made of stone to honor of Mr. Sheridan. Cost to committee was deemed too high. Faith Bloomfield proposed a $250.00 limit, seconded by Mark Haley, all in favor. The committee will share information with Mr. Smith and Mr. Ellithorpe.
  • Debbie Jourdanais continues the process of updating the R. Stiles brochure.
  • On April 25, 2009 the committee had the Argyle Clean Up Day. Many thanks to all the volunteers. Special thanks to John Carmondy and Dan Komarony for the use of their tractors/backhoes. The volunteers were able to clean the property and move many trees out of the nursery.
  • Thank you to Dan Komarony for donating the cost for large banners to promote the Action Event.
  • Special thanks to Debbie Jourdanais for all of her efforts that made the first Auction successful. This event raised $754.00.
  • Debbie Jourdanais presented the committee with 500 business cards.
  • Our next meeting will be Sat

Grants:
Debbie Jourdanais shared her concerns and frustration on efforts to find grants that are available for this project.

Fundraisers:

  • July 4, 2009 * Business & Organization Showcase @ STILES HOUSE - Mark Haley (lead) Donations accepted.
  • July 18, 2009 * RIDE IN STILE CAR SHOW - Ed Ellithorpe and Dan Komarony (Leads for this event) reported progress (see above). 
  • October 10-11, 2009 * RENTAL SPACE @ STILES HOUSE - Mark Haley (lead)
  • October 23-24, 2009 * HAUNTED HOUSE - Cathi Radner (lead)
