OLD BUSINESS:
Minutes of 1-31-09: approved

NEW BUSINESS:
Treasurer's Report:

  • Faith Bloomfield reported a $10,061.56 balance. Recent donations include $120.00 from Garry Robinson, P.E. Expenses this month was $126.00 for postage.

Update on house:

  • Chris Castrio will update Master Plan. Target date to completed report May Meeting.
  • Mark Haley will work on Mission Statement for House when project is complete. Target date to completed May Meeting.
  • Mark Haley and Chris Castrio will work on design for front entry steps. Target Date May meeting.
  • Members present asked about Not For Profit Status. Tabled for future meeting.

Events & Happenings:

  • April 25, 2009. Peter Bailey will help coordinate ARGYLE CLEAN-UP DAY at the Stiles House in conjunction with the Argyle Community Enhancement Team. Chris Castrio and Mark Haley will assess the grounds. A probable grounds project will be to move all trees from nursery. All members are encouraged to get the word out that these trees will be available.
  • Dick Bovey is not willing to sponsor The Fly in Stile fundraiser this year. Other options will be looked into by Chris Castrio. Possibly helicopter and tethered Hot Air Balloon Rides at the Stiles House.
  • Dan Komarony will look into large banners for upcoming events. He is willing to sponsor installing removable posts to spread banners at the Stiles House. Members asked if money might be better spent on more and bigger banners that could be spread out between pine trees along the road.
  • Mark Haley will make contact with Jeff Dunkin to update web site. Mark will contact Tim Hutchins for more information.
  • Chris Castrio researching prices for specialty bricks to possibly use as a future fundraiser.

Grants:

  • Debbie DeJourdanais will research for any grants available to our cause.

Fundraisers:

  • April 25, 2009 *BENEFIT AUCTION- Debbie DeJourdanais (lead for this event) reported that she would like some more big donations to auction. Members discussed several ideas to add to auction list. They included; Taste of Argyle Basket (Dan Komarony) Helicopter and Hot Air Balloon Ride (Chris Castrio).
  • May 23, 2009 * FLY IN STILE - Unsure at this time.
  • July 4, 2009 * RENTAL SPACE @ STILES HOUSE - Mark Haley (lead).
  • July 18, 2009 * RIDE IN STILE CAR SHOW - Ed Ellithorpe and Dan Komarony (Leads for this event) Date has been changed. DJ has been hired. Details to follow.
  • October 10-11, 2009 * RENTAL SPACE @ STILES HOUSE - Mark Haley (lead)
  • October 23-24, 2009 * HAUNTED HOUSE - Cathi Radner (lead)

Saturday - March 28, 2009 @ 9:00 am. at the Castrio residence. ALL ARE WELCOME (call 638-8803 if interested in coming to our next meeting, the coffee will be hot)
